Elucidation of Mechanism for Retinal and Optic Nerve Degeneration through Human Metaverse Medicine
Our group made a breakthrough technique for the first-ever in vitro organogenesis of the entire human eye (named SEAM), from human iPS cells and succeeded in creating the world’s first human organoids of cornea, conjunctiva, lacrimal gland and retina-retinal pigment epithelium. We plan to create a biodigital twin for age-related macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa.
