PRIMe EDI Initiative - PRIMe EDI Survey
In order to better understand member needs and foster a sense of belonging within PRIMe community, PRIMe EDI committee along with the PRIMe ELSI team started an EDI survey for all PRIMe members. The EDI survey is an ongoing project, which will last for three to five years. The first survey was conducted in summer 2024 and we plan to conduct another one this year.
Regarding the current member makeup of PRIMe, PRIMe has 15% overseas PIs and 25% female PIs, and by 2027, it aims to increase the percentage to 20% and 30% respectively. Further, aside from PIs, PRIMe has 28% overseas researchers, and 14% female researchers, and by 2027, it aims to increase the percentage to about 30% for both.
We believe that initiatives such as the EDI survey by the PRIMe EDI committees will effectively facilitate the PRIMe community to reach its ultimate goals.
