EDIB Statement
Because diversity is essential to fulfilling the PRIMe’s mission, we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse university community.
As a premier research institute, PRIMe is firmly committed to fostering equity, diversity, inclusion and belongings, because EDIB are essential to fulfill our research mission, institutional excellence and positive societal impacts. Every student, faculty, and staff member—regardless of their race, gender, age, ethnicity, cultural background, nationality, religious or political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, or ability—deserves to feel included, respected, and empowered within the PRIMe community. It is not only a right but a shared responsibility of all PRIMe members to uphold these values and actively cultivate an environment where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging and is encouraged to fully participate in all PRIMe activities.
To this end, we have set clear goals such as increasing the representation of diverse populations in leadership positions and, and specific plans such as adopting hiring practices that promote equity and inclusion and establishing a code of conduct that embodies our EDIB values. We are also implementing accountability measures to monitor our progress, using evaluative metrics, surveys, feedback, and reporting systems to ensure continuous improvement and transparency. We strive to lead by example, holding ourselves to the highest standards.
By committing to these principles, we aim to create a culture where each PRIMe member is valued and respected, and we aim to provide the resources and opportunities to fulfill the potential of each member toward contributing to our collective mission.
