Specially Appointed Associate Professor Antonio Lucena-Cacace has collaborated with Associate Professor Yoshinori Yoshida (Department of Clinical Application, CiRA, Kyoto University), to identify PRDM16 as an important regulator governing the balance between proliferation and maturation in human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. This research achievement may contribute to improve cardiovascular regenerative therapies and developing human heart models.
