We hosted our annual international symposium at the Osaka University Nakanoshima Center on February 29th and March 1st, for two consecutive days. This time, under the theme “Frontiers in Human Metaverse Medicine,” we invited researchers from various countries worldwide, featuring one special lecture, two keynote lectures conducting seven sessions.
The symposium commenced with an opening address from our university’s President Shojiro Nishio, followed by a congratulatory message from Program Director Akira Ukawa, and an explanation of the symposium by Koji Nishida, the Director of the WPI-PRIMe Center.
The event started with an icebreaker to familiarize researchers with each other followed by session one. The latest research findings were presented by the speakers while active discussions involving participants were also encouraged. The poster session held on the morning of the second day was filled with enthusiasm, indicating the high level of interest in the session. We were pleased to welcome nearly 200 attendees over these two days, and the event concluded successfully by closing remarks from Prof. Onoye executive vice president of Osaka University.
