Research Outline
In the journey of new technologies towards societal implementation, various ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) can arise. It is crucial to establish mechanisms that preemptively grasp, analyze, and consider countermeasures for these issues, and dynamically feed them back into the research field.
Research at PRIMe will have a significant impact on the future of healthcare and the lives of people in society. Our research begins with review surveys such as literature reviews, and employs a variety of methods to conduct field surveys. From the early stages of research and development, we engage in discussions about ELSI with a diverse range of stakeholders including patients, citizens, experts from multiple fields, companies, government agencies, and other related organizations, and make necessary proposals.
